Ranchi, Oct.23: In the last two days as many as 81 cases of Covid-19 have been detected in the Jharkhand capital. While 26 were detected from different parts on Friday, today as many as 55 were detected at Hatia station.
Those 55 who tested positive had reached Hatia station from Odisha by Tapaswini Express and Rourkela passenger.
“All the 1508 passengers who reached Hatia from Odisha were tested for Covid-19. While 754 underwent Rapid Antigen Test (RAT), 754 underwent RT PCR test. When the report came today as many as 55 samples tested positive giving an alarming message to city residents,” a health worker said.
RIMS critical care in-charge Dr Pradeep Bhattacharya also informed regarding a case from Kolkata. “A man from Kolkata also reached with covid-19 symptoms at the hospital. After the test, he was tested positive. He is being admitted,” Dr Bhattacharya said.
Dr Bhattacharya expressed his concern over the situation. “Despite taking the double dose, one should not get relaxed as there is 25 percent possibility of corona infection even for those who have taken both the doses of vaccine,” he said.
