Shivpal Singh, judge who convicted Lalu Prasad, gets married at 59

Ranchi, Sept 5: The judge of Ranchi district special CBI court Shivpal Singh (59), who convicted former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, got married to his soulmate Nutan Tiwari (50) who is an advocate at Godda district court.

Shivpal Singh is currently posted at Godda district court and both got married on September 2 at famous Basukinath temple in Dumka. Shivpal Singh became a widower in 2006 and he has a son and a daughter. Nutan Tiwari lost her husband a few years back and she has a daughter. Their children gave consent for their marriage.

During his posting at the judge of the special CBI court, Shivpal Singh had convicted Lalu Prasad in two fodder scam cases. In one of the cases he awarded 14 years of rigorous imprisonment to Lalu Prasad.
