Mumbai, June 13: The Bengaluru Police have detained Bollywood star Shakti Kapoor’s son Siddhanth Kapoor for reportedly consuming drugs at a party in the city on Sunday night.
The police stormed a hotel on MG Road where a party was being held after receiving a tip. The police sent the samples of 35 people suspected of having consumed drugs and Siddhanth’s sample was among six that returned positive.
It was unclear if they consumed drugs and came to the party or if they consumed at the hotel.
Siddhanth Kapoor, the son of Hindi cinema legend Shakti Kapoor, is an actor who played Chintu Dedha in the 2020 web series ‘Bhaukaal.’ He has appeared in films like as ‘Shootout at Wadala,’ ‘Ugly,’ ‘Haseena Parkar,’ ‘Chehre,’ and others. In films such as ‘Bhagam Bhag,’ ‘Chup Chup Ke,’ ‘Bhool Bhulaiyya,’ and ‘Dhol,’ he also worked as an assistant director.
Notably, Shraddha Kapoor, Shakti Kapoor’s daughter, was one of those questioned by the Narcotics Control Bureau in the case of actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death over alleged narcotics use. However, nothing significant was established.
