Ranchi, Nov 28: Hindi daily Shubham Sandesh and Psychographic Society in collaboration released the ranking of engineering, medical and law universities and colleges of the country. The guests on the occasion launched “Shubham Sandesh – Psychographic Society College Ranking 2023” at a function in the city.
The colleges are ranked on the basis of closing rank. As per the ranking, IIT Bombay and AIIMS Delhi are leading in engineering and medical colleges respectively.
Mukesh Kumar, director of the tribal welfare department and principals was present on the occasion the chief guests and directors of various educational institutions appreciated this effort at the programme. Kumar, while addressing the audience said that it would prove to be very helpful for the youth who are worried about their career.
Apart from top engineering and medical colleges, NITs, Triple IT, GFTI, National Law University, GFTI BARC have also been included in the ranking. NIT Tirichy is leading in NIT ranking, while Triple IT Allahabad is number one among 26 Triple ITs of the country. Similarly Punjab Engineering College is on top among 33 GFTIs of the country and National Law University of Bengaluru is ranked highest amid 22 National Law Universities of the country.
The chief guest of the programme, Tribal Welfare Commissioner Mukesh Kumar said that he too had gone through the process of career counseling before becoming an IAS. He said he is well aware of the importance of counseling in a student’s career choice.
“For the better future of the children, counseling should be done not only for them but also for the parents. Many students are not able to qualify even after studying in expensive universities. Therefore, first of all it should be seen in which field the student is interested. What is his ability? Career counseling is the question of children’s future. That’s why counseling should be done in a good environment. Have an experienced and knowledgeable counselor. Many colleges abroad are cheaper than the colleges in the country which can also be chosen by students,” he added.
Children are concerned about education and career, not politics – Surjit Singh
Surjit Singh, editor-in-chief, Shubham Sandesh said, “We ever tried to think why children do not read newspapers. Actually, children do not care about politics. They are concerned with career and studies.”
He further expressed concern over the fact that people associated with the education sector have stopped writing these days. Only a teacher shows the right path to the students, so teachers should keep writing.
He added that Shubham Sandesh will publish articles of people associated with the education sector. People associated with the education sector must write at least two articles in a month.
