Chandigarh, May 30: Sidhu Moosewala’s family on Monday refused to allow an autopsy on the remains of the singer-turned-Congress leader, who was shot dead on Sunday in what appears to be a gang feud.
At his home in Musa village, the district government arranged a meeting with his family. Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, the president of the Punjab Congress, and Sukhjinder Randhwara, the former deputy chief minister of Punjab, were also present at his home.
Sidhu Moose Wala’s family has requested that the NIA investigate the murder and take action against those who disclosed the list of people who had their security clearance revoked, as Sidhu Moose Wala was one of them.
According to his relatives, the news that Sidhu Moose Wala’s protection had been withdrawn played a big role in the singer-turned-murder politician’s in broad daylight. According to Mansa SSP Gaurav Toora, when Moose Wala was driving the car that was assaulted by the rival gang, he did not take his bulletproof car and gunmen, resulting in the death of the famous musician.
According to Moose Wala’s father, Balkour Singh, the singer was receiving threat calls from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, thus a FIR was lodged. The FIR was filed at City-1 at Mansa Police Station under sections 302, 307, and 341 of the Indian Penal Code, as well as sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act.
Two automobiles were tailing Moose Wala’s car minutes before he was tragically shot, according to CCTV evidence released on Monday.
