Simdega, Sept 3: The body of Vivek Panda, son of Manmohan Panda, a resident of Lachragarh in the Kolebira police station area, was found hanging from a tree. The body was found hanging on a tree in Narodega forest with the help of a long scarf. The villagers have expressed the possibility of murder.
On information, police reached the spot and sent the body to Simdega Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. Police station in-charge Prabhat Kumar said that the body of a youth named Vivek Panda has been recovered in Narodega village of Lachragarh and it has been sent to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. Police are investigating whether it is a case of murder or suicide. The SHO said that further action would be taken after the investigation.
Vivek Panda was missing from home since 11 pm on Saturday night. After this, the villagers of Lachragarh along with the entire family started searching for him since Saturday night but no information about him was found.
Early in the morning, his body was found hanging in Narodega forest. Vivek Panda is married. He is about 36 years old and has two small children. His father Manmohan Panda has held the post of Bada Babu in many departments of the district. Now he has retired. One of Manmohan Panda’s sons had died in a road accident some time ago. His wife was also murdered earlier.
