Simdega Sadar Hospital doctor dies in road accident

Body removed after breaking car door

Shyam Narayan Sahu, a senior doctor cum surgeon of Simdega Sadar Hospital, died in a road accident near Jamtoli under Kolebira police station area late on Sunday. According to reports, he was coming from Gumla to Simdega for duty in his car. Meanwhile, on the way, his car was hit by some unknown vehicle and he died on the spot.

After the accident, the body was pulled out by breaking the door of the car. Civil Surgeon Dr. Pramod Kumar Sinha said that Dr. Sahu was about to retire this year. The civil surgeon said that the health department has suffered a great loss.

The police have sent the body for postmortem. Dr. Sahu also used to run Sahu Nursing Home in Palkot Road Gumla. He was recognized as a superior doctor in Simdega and Gumla district.
