Sindri college gives rousing send-off to semester-6 students

Dhanbad, Sept 2: A lively and enthusiastic farewell was thrown in honour of semester -6 science and history departments’ students at Sindri College Sindri on Saturday.

On the occasion, Santhali dance dished up by Savitri Kumari, Babita and Ashthami was centre of the attraction in the programme attended by the principal, senior teachers and students in a large number.

Science and history department students Sweta Singh, Sonali Kumari, Sonam and Rohit also produced dance on local and Mumbai movie songs.
Impressive songs of Md Asraf Khan, Savitri, Fatima and Babita forced the guests and faculty members to glue to their seat till last. Organizer of the programme said almost all the students of both the departments participated in the programme.


On the occasion, Sindri College principal Dr KK Pathak while appreciating the performance exhorted the students to excel in life by attaining the soft skills. He called upon them to get admitted to higher and professional education courses so as to secure a job.

“ Your entire focus should be on your future career,” he suggested the students.
HoD physics Prof Anil Ashutosh while addressing the students on the occasion called upon them to keep smiling and remain prepared to face challenges with patience and courage.
“ The way the world is changing you need to keep abreast with the advancements taking place,” he said. Prof Anil Ashutosh advised the students to inculcate a habit of out of box thinking.
He said securing a nice job nowadays is an uphill task and students should focus on their future goals by identifying their particular field.

History department head Dr Surendra Kumar, Professors in-charge Dr Sunita Jaiswal, Dr MA Mallick, Dr Sharmistha Acharya, Dr Vishu Meghnani, Dr SR SK Rajak, Dr Nitu Gaurav, Dr Mamta Kumari, Dr Anuradh Das, Dr Rajesh Gupta, Dr Sanat Kumar and Dr S c Sharma also addressed and blessed the students to move up in academic life.
