New Delhi, Aug 25: Following claims from senior party leaders that the opposition BJP was attempting to poach their lawmakers, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will convene a meeting of its MLAs in Delhi on Thursday morning.

At 11 am, the meeting will start. Party sources claim that the AAP has been unable to reach some of its MLAs.

Four AAP MLAs had earlier claimed that the BJP had offered them Rs 20 million to join the saffron party.

Wednesday saw a meeting of the AAP’s political affairs committee (PAC), which was presided over by Arvind Kejriwal, the party’s national convenor and the mayor of Delhi. The committee issued a resolution denouncing the alleged abuse of government investigative agencies and denouncing the BJP’s efforts to recruit AAP MLAs by promising them millions of dollars in cash.
