New Delhi, Jan 3: Sourav Ganguly, former captain of the Indian cricket team is set to return to the Delhi Capitals of the Indian Premier League as its Head of Cricket (Director).
Once his tenure as the president of the Indian cricket board has come to an end, this will be Ganguly’s first professional cricket-related work.
In the 2019 IPL season, Ganguly advised the Delhi Capitals and collaborated closely with head coach Ricky Ponting. After being elected as the BCCI president in October 2019, he was forced to leave the position.
After former World Cup-winning all-rounder Roger Binny was overwhelmingly elected president of the BCCI in October 2022, Ganguly’s term as president came to an end.
