Jamshedpur, Sept 4: South Eastern Railway despatched another  Oxygen Express to Benapole in Bangladesh from Rourkela in Chakradharpur division.

The train left Rourkela carrying 195 tonnes of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) in 10 containers this morning.

Railway officials said that they were still getting requirements of Oxygen supply from the Bangladesh government for treatment of Covid patients.

The first Oxygen Express train for Bangladesh was sent to Benapole from Tatanagar on July 24 for the treatment of Covid affected patients in that country.

As many as 15 Oxygen Express trains have been sent to Bangladesh from Tatanagar and Rourkela of Chakradharpur division under South Eastern Railway.

In order to meet the growing demand for Oxygen for treatment of Covid affected patients, South Eastern Railway has been running Oxygen Express Trains since April to ensure quick transportation and smooth supply of Oxygen, a lifeline for Covid patients.
