Ranchi, March 2: With IPL just round the corner, teams have started to prepare for the mega event. Young fast bowlers Pratik Kumar and Vikas Singh from Ranchi will also be a part of IPL franchises as they have been appointed as net bowlers for different teams.

Vikas Singh, the left-arm speedster from Ranchi will be bowling alongside Dwayne Bravo, Ravindra Jadeja and Deepak Chahar for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the nets. Vikas has been part of the Jharkhand domestic team for the past few years. Vikas is currently traveling so Lagatar24.com could not connect with him.

Pratik Kumar is another young pacer from Ranchi who will be bowling in the nets during this year’s IPL. Pratik was part of the Rajasthan Royals squad in 2021 as a net bowler where he bowled to the likes of Sanju Samson, Jos Butler and Ben Stokes.

He spoke to Lagatar24.com and shared his experience. “I got selected last year through the Red Bull Speedster event that was held at Taurian World School. Many players were selected across India out of which I was one. The experience has been amazing as we get to stay with some renowned international players in the same bio-bubble. It has helped me in improving my game as we bowled in different conditions,” said Pratik.

Earlier, Sushant Mishra, who was part of the 2020 India Under 19 World Cup team played as a net bowler for Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2021. He is now a part of the Jharkhand Ranji Team.
