Srinagar organises Digital Week 2023 to raise awareness about digitalisation

Srinagar, Sep 4: A variety of events were held throughout Srinagar to mark the celebration of Digital Week 2023 in an effort to promote digital empowerment.

Athar Amin, the chief executive officer of Srinagar Smart City, said that “Digital Week was organized in Srinagar with the aim of raising awareness about digitalization among the local population.”

According to the CEO, the event was organised and carried out by a number of public and private organisations to highlight the advantages and opportunities that digital technologies provide.

“A series of workshops, seminars, and training sessions were conducted to educate the people about various aspects of digitalization during the Digital Week,” he added.

Amin went on to say that a number of subjects, including e-commerce, digital payments, cybersecurity and government programmes like Digital India, were covered in details

He added experts from the respective fields had been asked to share their wisdom and information with the audience.

“The Digital Week aimed to bridge the digital divide among the people of Srinagar and empower them to utilize digital technologies for their personal and professional growth. It encouraged individuals to embrace digital literacy and provided them with the necessary resources to get started on their digital journey,” added Amin.

Government departments and organizations were essential to the success of the Digital Week since they made it easier for local communities to participate and saw to the efficient operation of the numerous events.

Amin added that the event sparked enthusiasm among guests and received excellent feedback, who indicated their readiness to incorporate digital solutions into their daily life.
