Ranchi, July 16: The Enforcement Directorate has sent a complaint to the Sahibganj district administration regarding illegal trespass on the three stone crusher units sealed by the agency after the raid on July 8.

It is alleged that around five lakh cubic feet stone chips were kept at this unit. But as the ED team departed from the sealed crusher units, it was alleged that some suspects took away a large quantity of chips. Now, the ED has asked district police to ensure the safeguard of stone chips, tools, accessories and other things at these sealed units.

Meanwhile, Sahibganj DC Ramnivash Yadav along with SP Anuranjan Kispotta and other officials visited the sealed stone crusher units and said that security will be deployed to safeguard them.

“Ranchi office of the ED has written a letter to SP of Sahibganj to safeguard stone chips of the sealed unit. Necessary actions will be taken,” Sahibganj DC said.

The stone crusher units are situated at Marikuti Hills at Mahadeoganj in the Sahibganj district. The aforesaid crusher unit is situated in Mauja Marikuti plot numbers 74, 75 and 76 and these are under use and occupation of Pankaj Mishra and Vishnu Yadav alias Chhotu Yadav. Pankaj Mishra is the MLA representative of Chief Minister Hemant Soren. As per the freezing order, the ED sealed stone crusher units under section 17 (1A) of PMLA.

The ED in its order has said that during the course of the search it was found that Maa Durga Stone Works was instrumental in money laundering hence all three units of the company are frozen. ED sources said that the agency is likely to freeze more such stone crusher units.

Later on, the ED brought this matter to the notice of the Sahibganj district administration and asked to ensure proper security of the sealed stone crusher units including assets and other things.
