Ramgarh, June 5: The summer camp at West Bokaro Division of Tata Steel, which ran from May 15 to June 5, concluded at Sports Complex, West Bokaro. Rajesh Kumar, Chief, CEP, West Bokaro Division, Tata Steel was the chief guest on the occasion and Mahesh Prasad, President, Rashtriya Colliery Mazdoor Union, West Bokaro Division and PK Singh, Secretary, Rashtriya Colliery Mazdoor Union, West Bokaro Division were present as special guests.
Over 800 children from nearby schools participated in various activities in the 20-day-long summer camp. Every day was abuzz with fun activities like athletics, football, basketball, archery, fencing, cricket, football, handball, volleyball, roller skating, lifestyle management and yoga classes. The summer camp was organized by the Administration Department of West Bokaro Division in collaboration with the Sports Department at West Bokaro and Sondiha. A drawing competition was also organized by the Environment Department on this occasion.
Rajesh Kumar, Chief, CEP, West Bokaro Division, Tata Steel, also felicitated those who had contributed significantly to the summer camp.
These events organized during the camp were specially designed with the aim to bring out the physical, mental and social aspects of the participants.
Tata Steel officials, union officials and members of the sports department were present on the occasion.
The event was organized by a team from the Sports Department led by Rohit Prasad, Head, Administration, West Bokaro Division, Tata Steel.
