Ranchi: The Jharkhand High Court on Thursday heard a petition demanding a CBI investigation into the JSSC-CGL (Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission – Combined Graduate Level) paper leak case. During the hearing, the state government informed the court that the CID is currently investigating the matter and that the probe is still underway.

Court extends stay on result declaration

Following submissions from the state, the court scheduled the next hearing for July 16. It also extended the stay on the result declaration, which was imposed in an earlier order, until the next date of hearing. The state’s case was represented by Advocate General Rajiv Ranjan along with lawyer Piyush Chitresh. Advocate Sanjoy Piparwal appeared for JSSC, while senior advocate Ajit Kumar argued on behalf of the petitioners.
