Ranchi, May 13: The Supreme Court today issued notice to BJP parliamentarian Nishikant Dubey’s wife Anamika Gautam in a matter related to a land purchase in Deoghar.
The development took place in the court of Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Justice MM Sundaresh., where a special leave petition (SLP) filed by the state government was taken up for hearing.
The state government filed the SLP after the Jharkhand High Court gave relief to Gautam in the case by quashing the FIR which was registered in the matter.
The case arose after one Vishnukant Jha alleged that Gautam, who is better known as Godda MP’s, the land whose market value is about Rs 19 crore has been registered for Rs 3 crore.
Those arguing on behalf of the state government included senior Supreme Court advocate Arunabh Chaudhary, advocate Pragya Singh Baghel, advocate Tulika Mukherjee and advocate Binu Sharma.
