Ranchi/Delhi, Sept 18: The Supreme Court while hearing a writ petition filed by Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren against the summons of ED, asked him to first approach the Jharkhand High Court.

It was heard by a bench of Supreme Court judges Justice Aniruddha Bose and Justice Bela M Trivedi. Senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi argued on behalf of Chief Minister Hemant Soren. After the summons of ED, Chief Minister Hemant Soren has taken refuge in the Supreme Court. He has said in his petition that it is wrong for the ED to summon him.

Notably, the ED has sent 4 summons to Chief Minister Hemant Soren and asked him to appear at the Ranchi zonal office for questioning. The next date fixed by the ED for his questioning is September 23.

According to the information, the ED wants to interrogate Hemant Soren in a case related to the land scam.
