Ranchi, May 4: Surgery started today in the modular operation theatre located on the seventh floor of the newly constructed building of Sadar Hospital on the direction of the district civil surgeon.
On the first day today a woman resident of Dhurwa was put under complete anaesthesia (general anaesthesia) to remove her gallbladder stone. The operation was done through very small holes by a binocular method.
The operation team consisted of Surgeon Dr. Ajit Kumar, anaesthetist Dr. Deepak Kumar and Dr. Vikas Vallabh. Team of the OT assistants included Sushil, Nandani, Mohit and Neeraj besides others. Sister Nurse Savita and Poonam also gave important contributions.
The operation was done completely free of cost. After the operation, the patient’s condition is good. She has been kept under observation for a day or two. She will be discharged after that.
With the commissioning of the modular OT in Sadar Hospital, the patients will be greatly benefited, their long waiting list will soon be reduced. As modular OT is equipped with modern technology, the operation will be safer and easier.
