Ranchi: Representatives of the Tana Bhagat community met Ranchi Deputy Commissioner (DC) Manjunath Bhajantri on Friday at the district collectorate. They presented various grievances and demands related to their community, which the DC listened to carefully and assured all possible support.
Community Raised Multiple Issues Before The DC
During the meeting, members of the Tana Bhagat community raised several key issues, including land-related problems, access to pension schemes, provision of identity cards, and ensuring their inclusion in various government welfare schemes.
Distribution Of Voter ID Cards To Tana Bhagat Members
On this occasion, the DC also distributed voter identity cards to several members of the Tana Bhagat community. He emphasized the importance of having identity documents like Aadhaar and voter ID cards, stating that such documents are essential for availing government benefits and establishing one’s identity.
Documents Essential For Availing Government Schemes
DC Manjunath Bhajantri highlighted that both state and central governments have numerous welfare schemes aimed at benefiting the last person in society. However, he stressed that these schemes can only reach the intended beneficiaries if they possess the necessary identification documents.
Administration Committed To Resolving Issues On Priority Basis
The DC instructed concerned officials to resolve the problems and demands of the Tana Bhagat community on a priority basis with full sensitivity. He assured the community that the administration is always with the tribal society and is committed to their prosperity, dignity, and welfare.
