Jamshedpur, June 29: Tata Education Excellence Programme (TEEP), organised a workshop to address gaps identified in academic processes in schools.

The workshop was organised at the Management Training Centre at Telco for 14 schools.

Assessment of these schools was done on BASIC and SARAL assessment methods to analyse the education process maturity.

These assessments are the preliminary assessment methods under TEEP ( Tata Education Excellence Programme ) for education process quality checks.

Sunita Sinha, creative director, Mount Litera Zee School and ex-principal, Gulmohur High School facilitated the workshop on Lesson Planning and SWOT (strength, weakness, opportunity, threat) analysis.

The objective of the workshop was to locate gaps in the current education process and bridge them with more focused and process-driven methods to achieve the best results for both the school children and the school.

The workshop was designed to cover aspects of SWOT analysis and lesson planning in detail.

Several strengths and opportunities were identified as an output of this assessment.

The workshop was specially curated to support schools in addressing the gaps. The workshop was organised after a gap of three years as TEEP assessments were reinitiated in 2022-23 post-pandemic.

A total of 27 participants, including five principals from 14 schools participated in the program.

The program will help schools to gear up and elevate their assessment preparedness for the upcoming assessment cycle.

Started in 2003 by Tata Steel, the Tata Education Excellence Programme enables schools to improve the quality of education through a calibrated approach.

This program is run in private, government, semi-government, urban, semi-urban and rural schools.

The schools voluntarily participate in this program which consists of a year-long engagement and then these participating schools are assessed on education excellence maturity.

The framework of the program is adapted from the renowned Malcolm Baldrige Performance Excellence criteria. Currently, this program is being run for schools in and around Jamshedpur.
