Ramgarh, Oct 12: The Tata Steel Foundation, West Bokaro Division and Model Career Centre, in collaboration with Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL), Hosur, Tamil Nadu, recruited 94 women in the posts of junior technician. Screening and counselling session was conducted on September 20, 2022, and this opportunity was extended exclusively to female candidates, aged between 18 and 21 years, who had completed class 12 or held any other diploma or degree.
A total of 102 girls from Banji, Duni, Pundi, Kedla, Bhelgarha, Ghatotand, Atna, Sirka, Bargaon, Chainpur, Ichakdih and Laio appeared for a written test, out of which 97 were selected vis-a-vis 25 girls from West Bokaro last year.
On this occasion, while congratulating successful candidates, Anurag Dixit, General Manager, West Bokaro Division, Tata Steel, said, “Tata Steel has always considered its stakeholders to be its partners in its growth and is committed to their overall upliftment. To raise their standard of living, Tata Steel West Bokaro Division is running various welfare schemes. Today, women are moving ahead in every field and I am very happy that such a large number of girls from West Bokaro Division have been selected for Tata Electronics. I wish them my best for a bright future.”

An elated Anshu Kumari of Ghatotand expressed her joy by saying, “I am extremely pleased with this opportunity provided by Tata Steel Foundation in Tamil N?du. Tata Steel offers meals, housing and facility for transportation and the fact that this being a Tata Company, makes my family very happy as well.”
After successful completion of training for two weeks, they will be provided with boarding and lodging facilities at a nominal monthly charge of Rs. 2,000. The candidates will be given a monthly salary of Rs. 16,000 and will be awarded their job confirmations after a year of service. The package also includes free transportation to and from both their hostel and the office, by the company.
