Jamshedpur, Feb 19: Tata Steel Foundation (TSF) in association with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has established a Model Career Centre (MCC) in Jamshedpur, with an aim to guide and counsel job seekers to pursue the right career choice and support them to provide better placement opportunities.
This initiative will provide a platform to the niche group of job seekers who are either unaware of or cannot access other job portals.
While the services of MCC are open to all job seekers, the focus would be to reach out to the youth from socially and economically marginalized sections of society.
The centre will provide support to industries for hiring the right talent pool to reduce the skill gap.
The centre will connect various industries viz. manufacturing, service, hospitality, retail, e-commerce etc. to place the required workforce from the eastern region.
Notably, the foundation has created a pool of over 5000 candidates, comprising different qualifications and skill sets – 10th and below, 12th pass, ITI/Polytechnic, graduates and postgraduates (Technical/ Non- technical).
On February 25, Tata Steel Foundation and CII Model Career Centre will host the first job fair event at Jamshedpur, where industries will get an opportunity to hire the right talent pool on a single platform.
