Tata Steel to recruit junior engineers for Kalinganagar plant

Jamshedpur, July 24:  Tata Steel has invited applications for the post of junior engineers from candidates interested to join the Kalinganagar plant in Odisha on permanent roles.

The minimum education qualification required for candidates is three years full-time diploma in mechanical, electrical, electronics and instrumentation engineering from any institute recognised by AICTE or UGC.

Candidates with part-time correspondence or distance learning are not eligible.

The candidates should have minimum three years of relevant work experience (excluding the apprenticeship period) preferably in a steel plant as on August 1, 2023, after acquiring a diploma qualification.

According to the advertisement for vacancy issued by the company minimum of 55 % marks aggregate in diploma engineering is required for general candidates while a minimum of 50 % marks is required in diploma engineering for SC / ST candidates.

General candidates should have been born on or after August  1, 1991, and before August 1, 2005, while SC/ ST candidates should have been born on or after August 1, 1988, and before August 1, 2005.

The selected candidates will be provisionally placed at a starting basic salary of Rs 17,530 per month with a CTC of Rs 5.6 lakhs per annum in the grade TSK D1.

The other benefits will be as per the company’s rule applicable to this grade. Candidates possessing 4 years or more of relevant experience will be additionally compensated as per norms.

Eligible candidates will have to appear for a written test and interview process. Each stage will be an elimination stage.

Eligible candidates who are currently employed with Tata Group companies/subsidiaries or associate companies will need to furnish NOC from the present employer before being considered for employment in Tata Steel. The NOC must be produced at the time of the interview.

All selected candidates will have to be declared medically fit as per the company’s medical fitness standards before their appointment.

Moreover, all selected candidates will have to undergo background verification as per the company’s standards before their appointment.

Candidates who are found ineligible as per the laid down criteria at any stage of the selection process will be immediately disqualified from the further selection process.

As per the norms of the vacancy the selected candidates will be placed against vacancies as per their qualifications, suitability of their knowledge and skills.

The selected candidates may be placed and or transferred to any other locations of Tata Steel or its group companies or subsidiary units during their employment.

The application should be filled in through Tata Steel’s internet or website.

The last date for submission of the online application is August 11. The date of the written test will be notified later, stated the job vacancy advertisement circular signed by Vipin Sharma, Head HRM Talent Acquisition.
