Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services to come up with jungle trail, bio-diversity park in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Nov 17: Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services Limited ( formerly Jusco )  will come up with a jungle trail on the Marine Drive and a treebank which will have a collection of 10 lakh saplings

 

Managing director of the company Tarun Daga said that apart from these two new initiatives they would continue to build on the work done in the past, and specifically focus on the infusion of technology into various areas of solid waste management, water services and electricity distribution.

 

Notably, the Tata Steel subsidiary has undertaken various infrastructure development work in the past couple of years including the Bistupur Public Square, Jharkhand’s first public square mid-day meal kitchen at Chaibasa with a capacity of 1 lac meal per day,

extensive refurbishment of select infrastructure at MGM Hospital, Naval Tata Hockey Academy (NTHA) for 52 cadets having modern facilities and many more.

 

The green coverage in Jamshedpur continues to be at approximately 37% (highest in any industrial town).

 

In the last five years, the company planted 4.4 lakh trees/saplings.

 

The company declared to come up with a biodiversity park in the western part of Jamshedpur.

The company managing director said power distribution services of Jusco at Seraikela- Kharsawan and at Jamshedpur operate at national level benchmarks in transmission and distribution losses, resulting in one of the lowest levels of tariff.
