Tata Steel West Bokaro Division celebrates International Women’s Day

Ramgarh, Mar 9: West Bokaro Division of Tata Steel celebrated International Women’s Day with great enthusiasm and gaiety at JRD Tata Training Centre on Wednesday. This year’s theme is #EmbraceEQT, which motivates us to work towards creating fairness and equal sharing for all.

The event began with a cake-cutting ceremony wherein Anurag Dixit, Chief Guest of the function, General Manager, West Bokaro Division, Tata Steel along with the women employees cut the cake.

Several games were organised among the women employees with the aim of promoting teamwork and cooperation among the participants through games.

The winners of these competitions were honoured by the guests. The event was organised by the HRM department and was attended by around 80 women employees from different departments of the division.

On this occasion BV Sudhir Kumar, Chief, Coal Beneficiation, West Bokaro Division, Tata Steel, Rajesh Kumar, Chief, Capacity Enhancement Project, West Bokaro Division, Tata Steel, Sudhir Singh, Head, HRBP, West Bokaro Division, Tata Steel along with officers and employees were present.

Tata Steel has always been committed to promoting gender equality and increasing the participation of women in the workplace.  The company has implemented several initiatives such as maternity and paternity leave policies, flexible working hours and leadership development programs to support its female employees.
