Daltonganj, Nov 9: The Kasturba Gandhi Balika Awasiya Vidyalaya, Chainpur in Palamu is on the radar of Palamu DC Anjaneyulu Dodde. He made a surprise visit to this school today without any ‘paparazzi following him’.
However, lagatar24.com managed to reach the school but minutes before the DC left for his office from there.
In a telephone conversation, the DC said, “Teaching is not satisfactory here. Students of this residential school don’t know the ordinary of things of their syllabus.” Dodde repeated ‘not satisfactory’ thrice.
He detected one mathematics teacher absent from duty for around a month in the school. Taking a serious note, the DC told, “She would be dismissed.”
For kitchen and food, he said things need to be further improved.
Anil Kumar Choudhury, the Palamu district education officer, on the other hand, maintained that the concerned mathematics teacher ‘is on leave’.
On being asked if her leave is sanctioned then any stop-gap arrangement made for teaching this important subject of mathematics, the district education officer said, “I will find it out.”
He conceded that the DC has given his piece of mind to fire this mathematics teacher hastening to add that the concerned mathematics teacher will be show caused first.
Here the district education officer was asked to explain how can this teacher be served with show cause notice, as his own claim and version is that her leave is sanctioned, to which the district education officer just looked the other way saying “Let us see what the DC goes about (this case).”
Sources said if leave is sanctioned then there is no room for any disciplinary action for the issue of leave. If the leave of the teacher is in connection with medical concern then sanctioning of medical leave is done only after she submits a medical fitness report stating fit to join duty.
Sources said there is now enough brewing in this Chainpur KGBAV in the wake of the visit of the Palamu DC. The Chainpur KGBVA looked neat and clean while one lone police lady cop right at the entry-exit gate was found vigilant.
