Hazaribag, Dec 23: A youth snatched the purse of a woman in the Town thana area of Koderma district but was arrested by the Hazaribag police due to timely information and proper coordination between the two police teams.
Hazaribag SP Manoj Ratan Chauthe confirmed the success and said that the purse which had around Rs 1 lakh was recovered from the arrested snatcher.
The youth had snatched the purse from a woman in Koderma and escaped from his bike. Seeing his movement towards the Hazaribag district, the Koderma police alerted their counterpart. This resulted in a vehicle checking drive at the Chordaha checkpost. As soon as the snatcher reached there on his bike, he was nabbed with the purse.
The Hazaribag SP said that a total of Rs.1,03,700 was recovered from the purse. Chauthe said with both districts sharing the information on time and working in coordination resulted in this success in just an hour.
