Patna: Tej Pratap Yadav has stirred up political chatter once again, this time with a rather unusual claim. The RJD leader took to social media to share a dream in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi allegedly invited him to join the BJP. According to Tej Pratap, he declined the offer even in the dream, replying, “We already have our own party, you may join us instead.”
Post Goes Viral, Sparks Humour and Speculation
Tej Pratap also shared a graphic image along with a caption that read, “There are many who sell dreams for power, but we are not the ones who sell our ideology even in dreams.” The post drew mixed reactions online — while some users poked fun, others offered support. One user sarcastically warned Tej to stay cautious of BJP’s influence, suggesting if they insist, he should demand to be CM as part of the deal.
Some political observers interpreted the post as a sign of Tej Pratap’s defiance and self-assurance, especially amid his strained ties with both his party and family.
Estranged From RJD and Family After Controversial Post
The social media moment comes on the heels of a bigger controversy involving a photo Tej Pratap posted with Anushka Yadav, claiming they were in a 12-year relationship. The viral post reportedly led to his suspension from RJD for six years and estrangement from the Lalu family. Since then, Tej Pratap has operated independently, distancing himself from party affairs.
May Contest Mahua Seat as Independent
Amid the political uncertainty, Tej Pratap has made his intentions clear: if RJD denies him a ticket for the 2025 elections, he will contest the Mahua seat as an independent. He had earlier won Mahua in 2015 and Hasanpur in 2020. Now looking to return to Mahua, his path remains uncertain within the party. This has fueled speculation that he may float a new political outfit or align with another party.
