PM Narendra Modi spoke in Bhojpuri language on the occasion of the inauguration of Kashi Vishwanath Corridor in Varanasi.
“Our culture, heritage, and progress are reflected in the Kashi Vishwanath Complex. When you come here, it is not only for faith that you are drawn; it is also a location where you may take pride in the past and see how the ancient and the modern coexist,” the PM said.
“Kashi has seen history and its ups and down. So many sultanates came and went away but this place has been here. History has seen the torture of Aurangzeb, who tried to kill culture with radicalism. But in this country an Aurangzeb is matched by a Shivaji,” he further stated.
“I want three resolutions from you, not for yourself, but for our country – cleanliness, creation & innovation and continuous efforts to create a self-reliant,” he added.
