Three die in head-on collision of two bikes in Palamu

Daltonganj, May 6: Three persons including a woman died in a head-on collision between two bikes on the Shahpur Garhwa road near Baroun in Palamu on Friday.

The deceased have been identified as Nand Lal Bhuiyan (25) Phulpato Devi (59) and Suresh Chowdhury (55).

The officer in charge of the Chainpur police station Uday Kumar Gupta said that Nand Lal Bhuiyan and Phulpato Devi were on a bike and were coming from Garhwa to Daltonganj. While Suresh Chowdhury was going towards Garhwa from Daltonganj on his bike.

These two bikes collided head-on on the Shahpur-Garhwa road. Nand Lal and Suresh died before they could reach Medinirai Medical College Hospital (MMCH) Daltonganj for treatment. While Phulpato Devi died in the hospital.

Meanwhile, Chainpur police seized the badly mutilated and damaged bikes from the accident spot.
