Deoghar, April 16: Three nursing staff of Deoghar Sadar Hospital, Veena Kumari ,Rina Saha and Dulari Devi, have been caught taking bribes to conduct a caesarean operation on a woman named Anita Bharati.
Anita’s attendant has made the allegation on the three nursing staff and backed it by a video as proof. As soon as the video went viral, the administration took immediate action and has deputed the culprits to some other health centre. A show cause has also been issued.
According to sources, this is not the first instance in the hospital where a patient has been exploited for money. Many such instances have happened in the past as well.
Meanwhile, the hospital administration is waiting for the reply of the culprits after which disciplinary action will be taken.
There are many health schemes which are meant for the weaker section of the society such as to reduce the infant mortality rate. A large number of frontline women workers are employed for this noble cause.
