Top chess players to face-off at JCA chess tournament in Jamshedpur tomorrow

Dhanbad, Jan 28: The 5th JCA open blitz chess tournament 2023 will be organised tomorrow at Chamber Bhawan Bistupur Jamshedpur.

Prashant Kumar Singh (Putul) president of Jamshedpur Chess Academy told that around 100 players have registered for their participation in the tournament. A total cash prize of Rs 55,500 would be distributed among successful participants.

Vinod Agrawal, Commissioner of Income Tax (IT), would be the chief guest in the opening ceremony and inaugurate the famous tournament of Jharkhand at 9 am on Sunday.

Sunil Khaware, social activist and vice-president of the All Jharkhand Chess Association will be the chief guest in the closing ceremony in the evening. Kharware is also president of the Deoghar Chess Association.

The JCA president said in the tournament besides senior and veteran, six events would be held including under 7, under 9, under 11, under 13 and under 15.
