New Delhi: On the occasion of Indian Navy Day, President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vice President CP Radhakrishnan, Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh extended warm greetings to naval personnel and paid tribute to their unwavering service, courage and commitment in safeguarding the nation’s maritime boundaries.

President Hails Discipline And Humanitarian Spirit Of The Navy

President Droupadi Murmu praised serving personnel, veterans, and their families, saying the nation salutes the brave men and women who protect India’s maritime frontiers with courage, vigilance and determination. From securing trade routes to advancing the blue economy and leading humanitarian missions, the Indian Navy stands as a symbol of discipline, compassion and responsibility, she said in her official post.

Vice President Calls Navy The Pillar Of India’s Maritime Power

Vice President CP Radhakrishnan highlighted that the Navy continues to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and national service. He applauded personnel for ensuring security along India’s long coastline and maintaining peace and stability across the Indian Ocean, saluting the selfless service and sacrifices of naval officers, veterans and their families.

PM Modi: Modernisation And Self-Reliance Strengthening Maritime Security

Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended greetings through a video message and said the Indian Navy embodies courage, resolve and maritime strength. He lauded progress in the areas of indigenisation and modernisation, which have enhanced India’s defence capabilities. Recalling his Diwali celebration aboard INS Vikrant, he said that moment would always remain special and offered best wishes for future missions.

Home Minister Amit Shah described the Navy as the unwavering fortress that protects the nation against maritime threats and safeguards India’s prosperity through sea routes. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said the Indian Navy, as the most powerful maritime force in the Indian Ocean region, plays a key role in securing national interests and contributing to the vision of a developed India. He expressed confidence that the Navy will continue to uphold its high standards of innovation, professionalism and commitment in the years ahead.
