Jamshedpur: A training aircraft went missing after crashing in the Dalma Hills near Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, leaving two pilots unaccounted for. The incident occurred on Tuesday in the East Singhbhum district, triggering an extensive search operation.
Rishab Garg, the Superintendent of Police (SP) for East Singhbhum, confirmed the disappearance of the plane, which had taken off from Jamshedpur Aerodrome earlier that day.
According to initial reports, the two-seater training plane lost contact with ground control only minutes after takeoff. The aircraft, operated by Alchemist Aviation, was last seen on radar before it vanished near the Dalma Hills.
Mrinal Paul, Managing Director of Alchemist Aviation, confirmed that their team is actively searching for the missing plane. However, he refrained from disclosing further details, including the type of aircraft and the identities of the pilots.
The disappearance has raised concerns, and authorities are focusing their resources on locating the missing pilots. The search operation, involving local police and aviation teams, is continuing with urgency as time becomes a critical factor in the rescue mission.
