Dhanbad, Feb 17: The East Central Railway (ECR) Hajipur zone will again block the trains’ movement on the Dhanbad- Gaya section of Dhanbad Rail Division for re-girdering work on the track on March 1.
A senior officer of the Dhanbad rail division said that following re-girdering work between Bandhua and Tankuppa railway stations of Dhanbad- Gaya rail section, ECR has blocked train traffic on down life for six hours 8.40 am to 14.40 hours on March 1.
In wake of this block, 03554 Down Varanasi- Asansol Memu passenger special train has been rescheduled for two hours from Varanasi while12382 Down New Delhi- Howrah Poorva Express will run via Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyay (Mughalsarai)- Patna, Jhajha, Asansol instead of Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyay- Gaya, Koderma, Dhanbad Pradhankhanta Asansol on that day.
New Delhi-Howrah Poorva Express would not come to Dhanbad and would go to Howrah via Patna mainline.
Earlier, ECR had blocked traffic movement on Dhanbad- Gomoh section of rail for nine hours on February 13 due to under bypass construction between Tetulmari – Nichitpur railway stations of Dhanbad division.
The railway official said ECR Hajipur zone has already announced the closure of trains movement for nine hours on February 27 for second phase work on rail underpass between Tetulmari- Nichitpur railway station. Six passenger trains have been cancelled and the route of four express trains has been diverted on that day.
