Ranchi: Three months after the transfer of police personnel in Jharkhand, several officers and constables are yet to be relieved from their current postings. The Jharkhand Police Headquarters has issued an order to district Superintendents of Police (SPs) and heads of units such as Special Branch, CID, ATS, CTC Musabani, and SIRB to expedite the process.

The directive notes that despite the transfers being issued within the past three months, compliance reports confirming the physical relieving of personnel to their new postings have not been submitted to the headquarters.

Key Instructions from Police Headquarters

•Police personnel, including Havildars and constables, who were transferred to different districts and units, must be relieved within two days.

•District SPs and unit heads must ensure that the transferred personnel report to their new postings promptly.

•Compliance reports detailing the transfers must be submitted to the Police Headquarters without further delay.

This delay in implementing transfers has prompted the headquarters to reiterate the importance of timely compliance with orders.

Expected Outcomes

The directive aims to streamline the functioning of the police force by ensuring that personnel are deployed in their designated roles without administrative hurdles.
