Dhanbad, Oct 4: Thousands of passengers have been stranded in the festive season as 12 express trains of Dhanbad route have been cancelled on different dates from October 5 to 16 due to the yard remodelling work at Varanasi station.
A senior official of the Dhanbad Rail Division said that thousands of passengers who had booked tickets in AC and sleeper classes have to face the problem due to the cancellation of long-route trains.
The trains that have been cancelled are-
Train no. 12358 Kolkata- Amritsar Durgiana Express on October 5, 9 and 16.
Train no. 12357 Kolkata – Amritsar Durgiana Express has been cancelled on October 7, 10 and 14.
Train no.12353 Howrah- Lalkuan Express has been cancelled on October 6 and 13.
Train no. 12354 Lalkuan- Howrah Express has been cancelled on October 7 and 14.
Train no. 12371 Howrah- Bikaner Express has been cancelled on October 9.
Train no.12372 Bikaner- Howrah Express has been cancelled on October 5 and 12.
Train no. 22323 Kolkata- Ghazipur Shabd Bhedi Express has been cancelled on October 12.
Train no. 22324 Ghazipur- Kolkata Shabd Bhedi Express has been cancelled on October 13.
