Washington: Amid the ongoing conflict between the United States and Iran, President Donald Trump has initiated a major reshuffle in the military and administration by removing US Army Chief General Randy George from his post. The move has triggered significant reactions across the US defense and political circles.

Major Shake-Up in Military Leadership

Reports indicate that the decision is part of a broader restructuring effort led by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, who is aiming to bring in a new team of trusted officials. Over the past year, more than a dozen senior generals and admirals have reportedly been replaced, signaling a major shift in military leadership strategy.

General Randy George, a graduate of the United States Military Academy, had played key roles in conflicts such as the Gulf War, Iraq, and Afghanistan. He was appointed as Army Chief in 2023 and had also served as a senior advisor to the Defense Secretary during the previous administration.

FBI Director and Other Officials May Be Next

According to reports, including one by The Atlantic, discussions are underway in the White House regarding possible removal of several high-ranking officials. Among those reportedly under scrutiny is Kash Patel, along with Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll and the Labor Secretary.

The developments come at a time of heightened geopolitical tension, raising concerns about stability within key US institutions during a critical global crisis.
