Trump Says Israel Can’t Destroy Iran’s Fordow Nuclear Site Without US Help

New Jersey: Amid the ongoing war between Israel and Iran that has entered its ninth day, US President Donald Trump made a major statement on the military capabilities involved. Trump asserted that while Israel has achieved limited success in its operations, it lacks the capacity to destroy Iran’s underground Fordow nuclear facility without American assistance.

“Israel Can’t Go Deep Enough Without US”

Speaking to reporters in New Jersey, Trump said, “Israel has limited capability. They can break a surface section, but they can’t go deep. They don’t have that capacity.” He emphasized that while he favors peace, sometimes “toughness is necessary for peace.”

Rejects European Mediation Efforts

Trump dismissed ongoing European diplomatic efforts in the region, stating bluntly, “Europe hasn’t helped. Iran doesn’t want to talk to Europe — they want to talk to us.” His comments suggest that the US sees itself as the primary player in any future negotiation.

Rules Out Direct US Military Involvement

Despite praising Israel’s performance in the conflict, Trump ruled out the possibility of US boots on the ground. “That’s the last thing you want to do,” he said. “The US is not in a position to directly enter the war.” However, he noted that “it’s hard to stop someone who is winning,” referencing Israel’s current momentum.

Two-Week Window for Iran

When asked about continued US support for Israel, Trump added a veiled warning: “I would say maximum two weeks.” The statement hints that while the US is watching developments closely, it intends to maintain strategic ambiguity — supporting Israel militarily but not engaging directly, at least for now.
