Mumbai, Dec 28: Actor Sheezan Khan, who was detained as part of the inquiry into the death case of his co-star and ex-girlfriend Tunisha Sharma, would remain in police custody until Friday, according to a court near Mumbai on Wednesday.
After his custody period was up, the police brought Khan before the judge.
On the set of her television programme Alibaba – Dastaan-e-Kabul on Saturday, Tunisha Sharma was discovered dead. Sheezan Khan was detained a day later on suspicion of pushing the woman to commit suicide.
According to reports, both split up 15 days before she committed suicide.
In addition to discussing their age difference, he told detectives that their relationship terminated after three months because it didn’t work out between them, a police officer said on Monday.
The officer claimed that there was no evidence to suggest that the two split up because of the murder case involving Shraddha Walkar, in which her live-in partner Aaftab Poonawala was detained by the Delhi Police, or any other reason.
The mother of Sharma claimed on Monday that Khan had cheated and “used” her daughter for three to four months as the event sparked heated comments on social media.
