Two die, 36 injured in bus-truck collision in Ranchi

Ranchi, Nov.12: Two died while 36 sustained injuries after a head-on collision between a truck and a bus at Dumri More near Kharsidag under Tupudana police station area. The bus was going to Tapkara from Ranchi.

The Officer-in-charge of the concerned police station, Meera Toppo, confirmed the incident saying the injured had been admitted to Samar Hospital near Singh More and Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS).

The officer-in-charge said the incident took place around 3.30pm and the police rushed to the spot getting information to rescue the passengers.

The reason behind the accident is yet to be ascertained. A police official said ‘failure of brake of either of the one speeding vehicles involved in the accident’ could be a reason behind the accident.
