Ramgarh, April 25: Badoni bus on way to Ranchi from Bihar’s Bakhtiarpur collided with a trailer at Chutupalu Valley in Ramgarh district in the early morning on Tuesday. Two people died on the spot in this horrific accident, while more than a dozen people have been seriously injured. The deceased are identified as helper of the bus Arvind Kumar and Virendra Singh. In this accident child Ritesh Kumar, bus driver Tuition Prasad, Dharmendra Kumar, Sanoj Ram, Sushil Kumar, Pramod Kumar, Tarun Kumar, Renu Kumari and others sustained injuries.
Since the accident, the Ranchi-Patna Highway was in a state of jam in the valley. Hundreds of vehicles were stranded in the jam.
According to the information, the bus going from Bihar’s Bakhtiarpur to Ranchi stopped at the Ramgarh bus stand this morning. Passengers and drivers took tea here. Later, the bus departed for Ranchi. In the course of going from Ramgarh to Ranchi, the bus in the valley was hit hard by a trailer coming from the Ranchi side. After this accident, the bus overturned in the valley itself. Due to this, the passengers of the bus suffered serious injuries.
The team which reached late after the accident took the injured to Ramgarh Sadar Hospital where many serious patients were given first aid while many serious are being treated in Ramgarh.
The Ramgarh police reached after about one hour of the accident and sent the injured to Sadar Hospital. In Sadar Hospital, the seriously injured people were referred to RIMS. Other patients are getting treatment at Ramgarh Sadar Hospital. SP Piyush Pandey confirmed the two deaths.
