Ramgarh, Dec 16: A road accident in Morangi near Demotand in Hazaribagh took the lives of two people and left more than six people injured at around 12:30 late last night.
According to sources, a Babuan passenger bus collided with a truck while it was on its way from Tata to Ara.
A male passenger, including the bus driver, died on the spot. More than half a dozen people were seriously injured in this accident.
On receiving the information, the Mufassil police station in-charge Bajrangi Mahto and the Emergency Medical Team of NHI reached the site of the accident. They sent the dead and injured to the hospital.
Local social worker Bhaskar Gupta, youth social worker Dayanand Rai Brahmbhatt and Mahant of Bada Akhara, Vijayanand Das and others also reached the hospital late at night to help the injured.
The deceased passenger and driver are yet to be identified. The people who were seriously injured including three women have been referred to RIMS Ranchi.
