Two foot overbridges to be constructed in Ranchi, Church complex bridge to be upgraded

Ranchi, Jan 8: With the rapid increase in population and number of vehicles, pedestrians in the capital face a lot of trouble while crossing roads. However, now people might be relieved of this problem.

Notably, the way for two new foot-over-bridges has been cleared. JUDCO has taken out a tender for the same. Another tender has also been released to upgrade the foot-over-bridge near the Church complex. Under this, an escalator facility will also be made available in it along with the proposed two bridges.

A total of Rs 10.36 crore will be spent on this work. Notably, foot-over-bridges will be constructed in different areas of the capital, a DPR for which has already been prepared.

An estimated Rs 3.88 crore will be spent on the foot-over-bridge near Nucleus Mall, while work will have to be completed within 12 months, around Rs 3.92 crores will be spent near Kishoreganj Chowk, the allotted time is 12 months. On the other hand, Church Complex foot-over-bridge upgradation will cost Rs 2.56 crores, and will take 12 months to finish.
