Hazaribagh, Aug.7: Police have arrested the two persons accused of fraud with famous shop New Munna Electronic located near Indrapuri Chowk of Lohsinghna police station area selling various home appliances. The accused have been identified as Mohd Ayaz Ahmed alias Rajat father late Mohd Mumtaz, resident of Chistiya Nagar of Lower Bazar Ranchi and Mohd Rehan Ahmed, father late Mohd Rafai Ahmed, resident of Hindpiri Ranchi. In this regard, the police had registered a case on June 2. The police have recovered 3 ACs and two mobiles from both the accused. After conducting the Covid-19 test of both the accused, they have been sent in judicial custody.
About the crime, Officer-in-charge of Lohsigna police station, Vipin Kumar said that on May 20, a customer made a call at New Munna Electronic and placed order for four ACs asking the owner to send the items to the address provided by him. New Munna Electronics sent the demanded items to the given address, after which the customer cheated the shopkeeper by making a fake payment. By the time the shopkeeper could understand this, the customer ran away with the ACs. After this, the operator of New Munna Electronics had registered a case by giving a written application in the police station.
Police started a probe in this regard taking the help of the technical cell and finally reached to the two accused of the case who were residents of Ranchi. The duos were arrested today and brought to Hazaribag. Later, they were sent to jail.
