Ranchi, Oct 1: Two citizens of Jamshedpur have gone to Pakistan illegally to seek refuge. This week Mohammad Hasnain along with his son Ishaq Amir had gone to Karachi illegally via Afghanistan. According to media reports, the father and son want to take refuge in Pakistan. Both also protested outside the Karachi Press Club on 25 September against the atrocities being committed on Muslims in India. The police statement indicates that they are willing to go to jail but do not want to return to India. They claim that if they are deported, they will be killed as soon as they step on Indian soil.
According to the news reported in the media, Karachi police questioned the father and son about their plan to enter Pakistan. In response, Mohammad Hasnain explained that on September 5th, they had departed from New Delhi to the United Arab Emirates, from where they had reached the Afghan embassy for a visa. Subsequently, they travelled to Kabul and boarded a flight to Kandahar. Upon reaching Kandahar, they spent one night near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. The next day, they continued their journey into Pakistan. After entering Pakistan, they paid a person 60,000 rupees to take them to Karachi.
It should be noted that Mohammad Hasnain identifies himself as a social and political worker. He has contested Parliamentary, Assembly, and local body elections, although he has not won any of them. According to information, during that time, he also faced allegations of allegedly putting up provocative posters. Mohammad Hasnain and Ishaq Amir have stated that they lived in a rented house in Jafrabad, Delhi for the last fifteen to twenty years, and their last residence was in Gautampuri.
Mohammad Hasnain was born in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, in 1957. However, he had been living in Delhi for the past several years. He got married in 1989, and the marriage lasted for about four years. From this marriage, he had two sons, one of whom passed away, while the other, Ishaq Amir, is his only surviving child. Mohammad Hasnain has two sisters, Jaibunnisa and Kausar. The elder sister, Jaibunnisa, is 21 years older than him and lives in Jharkhand, while the younger sister, Kausar, resides in Lucknow.
