They learned fencing from their initial coach Sanjay Rajwar and gave their best performance in the state level competition.
Pushpalata Mahakud, a teacher at Holy Cross School Ghato, has been appointed as the manager of Jharkhand team.
Rakesh Kumar Mishra, General Secretary of Ramgarh District Fencing Association and Joint Secretary of Jharkhand State Fencing Association, on the selection of both the players, said that this has happened with the support of Holy Cross School’s Principal Celina Sangeeta Beck and Orion School’s Principal Surendra Nath Mahto and their school management. This has been possible as they encouraged all the players to learn a sport like fencing in their school.
While the players of Ramgarh are consistently performing well at the state level, Shivangi Chauhan, a player from Kedla, also made a place in the Ranchi University team with her excellent performance at the university level.
11 players have won medals this year and will represent the Jharkhand state team at the national level.
