Two shot dead over dispute during Manda Puja in Chanho

Ranchi, June 1: Two persons were shot dead and one sustained injuries in Chanho on Tuesday night following a dispute over peeping inside the changing room of artists called for a cultural programme during Manda Puja.

The deceased youths have been identified as Sagar Sahu, son of Umesh Sahu, a resident of Chama, and Abhay Kumar. The injured youth is a resident of Choria.

SP (rural) Naushad Alam confirmed the incident saying it took place in the wee hours and direction has been given for proper investigation into the matter and maintenance of law and order which is likely to deteriorate following the incident.
