Following his visit, Gehlot told the reporters that he would also speak with Home Minister Amit Shah and ask him to order the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to wrap up its inquiry into the murder within a month.
Two cleaver-wielding men killed Kanhaiya, recording the heinous crime and afterwards bragging about it in a video. Gos Mohammad and Riyaz Akhtari, the assailants, went in pretending to be customers before attacking him as he was at his shop in the crowded Dhan Mandi market of the city.
